Different Paths, Same Destination
Someone once shared a belief system with me that felt completely foreign — nothing like what I grew up around, nothing like what I’d reasoned my way into. My first instinct was to notice how different it was.
But the story itself isn’t really the point. What matters is what it does for the person holding it — the hope it creates, the closure it offers, the sense of meaning that lets them keep going.
That’s not so different from what religion does. Or what logic and reason do for someone who believes in neither. Different roads, different vehicles, but the same destination: faith. A reason to keep moving forward.
Maybe the specifics matter less than we think.
